This film was a labor of love, made outside the system, with no big backing — just years of travel, friendship, and the belief that stories like this matter.
No Bad Takes follows my real-life journey with writer William T. Vollmann as we chase the edges of America and try to make sense of it all. It took nearly a decade to finish — self-financed, scrappy, and full of risk. Now, as we get it out into the world, I’m asking for a little help.
Your donation goes directly to me, Greg Roden — the filmmaker — to help cover final costs (music licensing, festival fees, marketing) and build toward what's next.
If this film moved you, inspired you, or made you feel seen: thank you. Your support keeps indie films like this alive.
